Camera Configuration Nikon D750

Use the following guide to set up your camera to capture exposures ready for HDReal® processing.

Set Camera to Aperture Priority Mode
Press the MODE button and turn the dial to A. Aperture should stay the same so that the depth of field does not change in between exposures. Only the shutter speed should change.
Set Aperture
Set the Aperture to 8.0 by turning the front dial. This preserves a deep depth of field while increasing shutter speeds so you can move faster.
Set ISO
Press the ISO button on the back and set ISO to 400. This is a good balance between noise and shutter speed.
Set Picture Control
Press the MENU button, and under the Photo Shooting Menu, select Set Picture Control and set it to Neutral.
Image Settings
Press the MENU button, and under the Photo Shooting Menu, set Image Quality to JPEG Normal, set Image Size to Medium, and set JPEG Compression to Size priority.
Set White Balance
Press the WB button on the back and set white balance to Auto. Our system automatically corrects white balance so you don't need to do it in the camera.
Set Release Mode
Press the Release Mode dial lock release on top and turn the Release Mode dial to CH (Continuous high speed). This way, you'll be able to take all bracketed exposures with a single press of the cable release or shutter button.
Set Metering Mode
Press the FORMAT button on top and rotate the main command dial to select Matrix Metering. This is so the camera meters across the whole scene.
Set Auto Exposure Bracketing
Press the MENU button, and under the Custom Settings menu, set Auto bracketing set to AE only. Pressing the BKT button on top, rotate the main command dial in the back to set 7 shots. While pressing the BKT button on top, rotate the sub-command dial in the front to set 1.0 exposure increment.
Turn off Long Exposure Noise Reduction
Press the MENU button, and under the Photo Shooting Menu, set Long exposure NR to Off. If this is on, shutter speeds are greatly increased.
Turn on Auto Image Rotation
Press the MENU button and under the Setup menu, set Auto image rotation to On. This way, vertical images can be recognized as such.
Set File Numbering
Press the MENU button, and under the Custom Settings menu Shooting/Display, set File Number Sequence to On. This prevents images from having the same file number.
